Hey Folks!
Thanks so much for dropping in. This blog, Crystal Calliope, is a collection of my public writings. This is a journal that I make public for some kind of philanthropic effort towards voyeurs. I know that people read this, in fact I HOPE that people are reading this, and I love it when I get comments. If the internet isn't for bringing people together, I just don't know what it's for.
A few silly facts about me:
*I live on a very little island
*I'm married and have two small children, whom I call Little Bear (above) and Patches (below)
*I love to bake, and am the designated birthday baker in the large, boisterous Irish-Mexican family I married into.
*Music is in the middle of my heart, and my husband and I met because he heard that I could sing, so he called me (a stranger) and asked me to come sing for his band.
*My husband is brilliant and really, ridiculously good looking.
*I change the look of this blog every so often, so don't get worried if it seems strange one day
*I have a thing for Owls, and we know the Totem Animals for everyone in our little family
*We go in for Homebirth, Herbal Medicine and Attachment Parenting
*I staunchly refuse to "drink the kool-aid" which means that I do not get sucked into movements simply for the sake of enjoying a group. This gets a little lonely when all the hippy mamas find out I didn't use cloth diapers, but comes in handy because I assess things pretty objectively.
*I write a lot of fiction, but you won't read it on here.
*I LOVE comments, did I say that already?
